Connecting to Your Server

Learn how to find your server connection details and connect from your game client.

Before You Start
  • • Make sure your server is running (status shows "Online")
  • • Have your game client installed and updated
  • • Know your server's IP address and port
  • • Check if your server requires a password

Finding Your Server Details

To connect to your server, you'll need the connection information:

Step 1: Access Server Details

  1. Log into your control panel
  2. Select your server from the server list
  3. In the left sidebar, click on "System"
  4. Select "Server Details"

Step 2: Note Connection Information

You'll find the following important details:

  • Server Port: The port number (usually 2001 for Arma Reforger)
  • Server Name: How your server appears in browser
  • Password: If your server is password protected

Connecting via Game Browser

Most games allow you to find servers through the in-game browser:

For Arma Reforger

  1. Launch Arma Reforger
  2. Go to "Multiplayer"
  3. Click "Server Browser"
  4. Look for your server name in the list
  5. Double-click to connect or select and click "Join"
Server Visibility Settings

If your server doesn't appear in the browser, check these settings:

  • • Visible in Server Browser: Must be set to "true"
  • • Server Name: Must be set and not empty
  • • Max Players: Should be reasonable (64-128)
  • • Region: Set to appropriate region

Direct Connection

If you can't find your server in the browser, try connecting directly:

Using Direct IP Connection

  1. In the game's multiplayer menu, look for "Direct Connect" or "Add Server"
  2. Enter your server's IP address and port (e.g., 192.168.1.100:2001)
  3. Add the server to your favorites
  4. Connect to the server

Connection String Format

The connection format is typically:

ServerIP:Port

Example: 23.145.80.215:2001

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

Server Not Appearing in Browser

  5. 5. Make sure BattlEye settings match client requirements

Connection Timeout or Failed

  • Check Server Status: Ensure server is online and responsive
  • Verify IP and Port: Double-check connection details
  • Firewall Issues: Ensure your firewall isn't blocking the connection
  • Server Capacity: Check if server is full (max players reached)
  • Game Version: Ensure your game version matches the server

Mod Compatibility Issues

  • Required Mods: Install any mods required by the server

From the Control Panel

  1. Check the console for any error messages
