If you need to cancel your server, we've made the process straightforward. Here's how to cancel and what happens to your data.
Cancellation Process
You can cancel at any time through the billing portal. Your server remains active until the end of your current billing period.
- 1Log into billing.loafhosts.com
- 2Go to Services > My Services
- 3Click on the server you want to cancel
- 4Click 'Request Cancellation' in the sidebar
- 5Select cancellation type: Immediate or End of Billing Period
- 6Provide optional feedback (helps us improve!)
- 7Confirm the cancellation
Tip
- Choose 'End of Billing Period' to keep using your server until your paid time expires
- Download any backups before cancellation - data is deleted after termination
- You can reactivate within 7 days if you change your mind
Before You Cancel
Make sure to backup important data before cancelling.
- 1Download all important server files via SFTP or File Manager
- 2Export any database backups if you use MySQL
- 3Save your server configurations for future use
- 4Notify your community about the shutdown
Tip
- Server data is permanently deleted 7 days after termination
- Consider pausing instead of cancelling if you might return
