DayZ server administration is done through RCON commands and configuration files. Unlike many games, DayZ uses BattlEye RCON for remote administration. This guide covers essential admin commands and server management.
Connecting to RCON
- 1Configure RCON password in your server's beserver_x64.cfg file
- 2Set RConPassword=YourSecurePassword
- 3Download an RCON tool like DayZ SA Launcher or BEC (BattlEye Extended Controls)
- 4Connect using your server IP, RCON port (usually 2302), and password
- 5Verify connection before issuing commands
Tip
- Use a strong, unique RCON password
- The default RCON port is your game port
- Never share your RCON credentials publicly
