Palworld provides admin commands for server management through the in-game chat. This guide covers all available commands and how to authenticate as an admin.
Becoming an Admin
- 1Set AdminPassword in PalWorldSettings.ini before starting the server
- 2Join the server in-game
- 3Open chat and type: /AdminPassword YourPasswordHere
- 4You'll receive confirmation of admin access
- 5Admin status lasts until you disconnect
Player Management Commands
/ShowPlayersDisplay all connected players with their Steam IDs
Example: Lists name and ID
/KickPlayer {SteamID}Kick a player from the server (can rejoin)
Example: /KickPlayer 76561198012345678
/BanPlayer {SteamID}Permanently ban a player
Example: /BanPlayer 76561198012345678
Tip
- Use /ShowPlayers first to get the player's Steam ID
- Kicked players can rejoin, banned players cannot
- Bans are stored in banlist.txt
Server Management Commands
/Broadcast {Message}Send a message to all players on the server
Example: /Broadcast Server restarting in 5 minutes
/SaveForce save the world immediately
Example: Use before shutdown
/Shutdown {Seconds} {Message}Shutdown server with countdown and message
Example: /Shutdown 300 Server maintenance
/DoExitImmediately stop the server without warning
Example: Emergency shutdown
Tip
- Always use /Save before shutdown commands
- Use /Shutdown to give players time to prepare
- /DoExit stops the server immediately without saving
Important Notes
Tip
- Commands are case-insensitive
- Changes made via commands may be temporary - edit PalWorldSettings.ini for permanent changes
- Admin password should be strong and kept secret
- There is no /UnBan command - edit banlist.txt manually
