Open the Players page, choose Actions on the player, then Heal or Give effect. Heal restores health. Give effect gives a Forsaken power or another effect from the game, such as Rested. The player must be online, and the panel tools must be on. More about the game: Valheim servers.
Before you start
- Turn on the panel tools. See Valheim panel tools.
- The player must be online.
- Your role must be allowed to act in the game.
Heal a player
- Open the Players page and find the player under Online (N).
- Choose Actions, then Heal. A box called “Heal (name)” opens.
- In Health to give, type a number, or leave it empty.

Type in Health to give (1) or leave it empty, read the hint (2), then choose Heal (3).
An empty box heals the player to full health. A number heals by that much. The game never heals a player past their full health, so a big number is safe.
Give an effect
- Choose Actions, then Give effect. A box called “Give (name) an effect” opens.
- Open the Effect list. Type to search. It has two groups: Forsaken powers and Other effects.
- Choose one and choose Give effect.

The list is made from the game itself. Each entry shows its name and its game ID, for example Rested.
Forsaken powers
A Forsaken power is a boost a player gets from a boss they have beaten. In the game, the player hangs the boss’s trophy on the Sacrificial Stones and presses F to use the power. One power is set at a time. Each power lasts 5 minutes in the game and then waits for a 20-minute cooldown. Players within 10 metres of the one who uses it get the boost too.
For example, the power from Eikthyr cuts stamina used for running, jumping and swimming by 60 percent.

Other effects
These are the effects the game gives from food, meads, rest, weather and bosses. Not checked on 1.0.20 as of 21 October 2026: how long an effect given with the panel lasts.
Rested is a good one to know. In the game, a player gets it after resting for 20 seconds. It raises health regeneration by 50 percent, stamina regeneration by 100 percent and the experience the player earns by 50 percent. It lasts 7 minutes plus 1 minute for each comfort level, and it ends when the player leaves the game.
If it does not work
- There is no Actions button. The panel tools are off, or the player is not online.
- The heal does nothing. The player may already be at full health.
- “That player is not on the server any more.” The player left.
- An effect is missing from the list. Type part of its name. The list is the game’s own, so only effects the game has appear.
