Valheim hosting is now live on Loafhosts. You can spin up a dedicated Valheim server on the LPV5 panel in about 60 seconds, with the same one-click tooling we ship for Arma Reforger and Minecraft — no SteamCMD wrangling, no editing files over SFTP just to change your world name.
We built Valheim support the way we wish every host did it: the modding workflow, the config, and the world management are all first-class panel features, not afterthoughts you bolt on yourself.
Three Server Types, One Click
When you order a Valheim server you choose the flavour up front, and the panel installs the right stack for you:
- Vanilla — the stock dedicated server, perfect for a pure playthrough with friends.
- Valheim Plus — the popular quality-of-life mod baked in, with its tuning options exposed in the config editor.
- BepInEx — the mod loader pre-installed so you can drop in anything from Thunderstore without touching the command line.
You can switch between them later from the panel if your group changes its mind mid-campaign. The install runs in a hardened container and we verify it actually finished — not just that a log line scrolled past — before the server boots.
Tip: Start on Vanilla if you are not sure. Re-installing onto BepInEx later is a single click and your worlds carry over.
A Real Config Editor
Editing valheim server settings usually means hunting through start scripts and .cfg files. On Loafhosts you get a structured Config Editor right in the panel. The Valheim Plus tuning values are presented as a grouped, searchable form with inline tips, alongside the admin, permitted, and banned player lists, plus a raw view for any config file you want to hand-edit. Server name, password, and world settings are set as startup variables on the server’s Startup page.
On Valheim Plus servers there are three ready-made tuning presets to start from (Relaxed/QoL, Hardcore, and Reset to Vanilla), and the editor validates your changes before it writes them, so a stray typo never leaves your server unable to boot.
Note: Changes apply on the next restart. The editor tells you which fields need a reboot to take effect.
World Manager and Mods
The World Manager lets you upload an existing world, download a world or take a backup, and restore a backup before you try something risky. If you are running BepInEx, the Thunderstore mod manager installs, enables/disables, and removes mods from inside the panel — the same way our Minecraft mod manager works. You paste a mod’s Thunderstore URL (or namespace/name) and the panel downloads and extracts it into BepInEx/plugins, so your whole group stays on the same mod list.
Getting Started
- Open the order page and pick a Valheim plan.
- Choose Vanilla, Valheim Plus, or BepInEx.
- Set your server name and password on the server’s Startup (variables) page, and tune gameplay in the Config Editor.
- Hit start and share the join address with your group.
That is the whole setup. If you want the long version, the guides library has step-by-step walkthroughs for installing mods and tuning your world, and our Discord is the fastest place to get a hand from the team.
Tip: Loafhosts game servers come with a 3-day refund window, so you can spin one up and make sure it fits your group before you commit.
