Squad panel features that pull weight.

Every tool LoafHub adds for Squad server hosting, included free, no add-ons, no upsells.

New

Steam Workshop Mod Manager

Browse the Steam Workshop from the panel and install a mod, or a whole collection, onto your server. The panel keeps the server's mod list in the format the game expects and applies your changes for you, so there are no item ids to copy across by hand. Mods auto-update on restart, so a new version needs a restart rather than a reinstall.

Included on every plan See it in the panel

New

Squad Config Editor

Server.cfg and Rcon.cfg become grouped cards with a note under every field and real dropdowns wherever the game only accepts certain values. Eleven groups cover identity, players, teams, squads and teamkills, map rotation, match flow, vehicles, recording, admin access, connection and timeouts. Every other .cfg in your ServerConfig folder, admin and ban lists included, opens in a raw editor, and one search box finds a setting across all of them. Ports and RCON details stay locked because the Startup tab already owns them.

Teamkill and balance controls

New

Auto kick team killers, set how many teamkills earn a ban and how long that ban lasts, and enforce team balance with an allowed size gap, a delay before auto balance runs, a squad rejoin delay and a switch for whether players can change team at round start. Vote kicking has its own threshold and a minimum player count before it is allowed at all.

Slots, reserved slots and the queue

New

Set max players, how many slots are reserved, how many stay public, and how large the public queue is allowed to grow. Reserved slots are the setting most people want on a busy night and the one most often edited by hand in a file.

Map rotation mode

New

Choose how the next map is picked: level list or layer list in file order, either one randomised, or layer voting where players vote at the end of each match. Shuffle at start, faction voting and level voting are switches next to it. The rotation files themselves, LevelRotation.cfg, LayerRotation.cfg and LayerVoting.cfg, open in the raw editor from the same page.

Server Auto-Restarter

Schedule restarts and recover from a crash automatically, so the server is up before your unit logs on.

Hardware that holds up. A panel that does the work.

Common Squad hosting questions.

How much does Squad server hosting cost?

A Squad server at Loafhosts is built to order: you slide memory from 1 to 64 GB, CPU from 1 to 16 cores, and storage from 10 to 500 GB. The Standard build most people pick for Squad is 16 GB memory with 60 GB NVMe at $43.00/month. Builds for Squad run from $28.00 to $59.00/month, every one on an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X and 9950X with DDR5 RAM, unlimited slots and the full LoafHub panel. Longer billing cycles save up to 25%.

How much memory should my Squad server have?

Every Squad server is built to order: you set memory from 1 to 64 GB, CPU from 1 to 16 cores, and storage from 10 to 500 GB with sliders, or start from a preset. The Standard build, 16 GB memory with 60 GB NVMe, is what most Squad communities pick. Smaller crews and test servers run happily on less, and heavily modded setups or high player counts want more. You pick the core count that fits, and every build runs on a Ryzen 9 7950X and 9950X with the full LoafHub panel and Squad tools.

Does Squad hosting include Steam Workshop Mod Manager?

Yes, Browse the Steam Workshop from the panel and install a mod, or a whole collection, onto your server. The panel keeps the server's mod list in the format the game expects and applies your changes for you, so there are no item ids to copy across by hand. Mods auto-update on restart, so a new version needs a restart rather than a reinstall. It's included on every plan at no extra cost.

Can I use Squad Config Editor on my Squad server?

Server.cfg and Rcon.cfg become grouped cards with a note under every field and real dropdowns wherever the game only accepts certain values. Eleven groups cover identity, players, teams, squads and teamkills, map rotation, match flow, vehicles, recording, admin access, connection and timeouts. Every other .cfg in your ServerConfig folder, admin and ban lists included, opens in a raw editor, and one search box finds a setting across all of them. Ports and RCON details stay locked because the Startup tab already owns them.

Where are Loafhosts Squad servers located?

You pick your region in the builder. Squad servers deploy from New York, Dallas, and Los Angeles in the United States, and Frankfurt in Germany, all at no extra cost, with Sydney, Australia available for Asia-Pacific coverage. Any region surcharge is quoted live before checkout.

Does Squad hosting include DDoS protection?

Yes. Terabit DDoS Protection is included on every Squad build at no extra cost, with 500+ Tbps of volumetric capacity and 13+ Tbps of stateful filtering, across Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Frankfurt and Sydney. There is no tier to choose and no upsell.

Can I migrate my existing Squad server to Loafhosts?

Yes, migration is free. Open a Hub ticket and our team will move your world, configs, mods, scheduled tasks, and admin lists across with zero downtime.

What is the LoafHub panel?

LoafHub is our in-house game-server panel at hub.loafhosts.com. Console, file manager, schedules, backups, networking, sub-users, and the Squad tools all live in the same dashboard as your billing and invoices, one login, no separate portals.

How DDoS protection works on Squad

Run Squad on Loafhosts.

Sized for the full lobby rather than the empty one, so the server holds together on the night everybody turns up at once.

Outgrowing a shared node? Squad at 16 GB is about where a whole machine starts to make sense. Look at dedicated servers , built for you and nobody else on the box.
