Add Bacon Loadout Editor to an Arma Reforger server

Bacon Loadout Editor is a Workshop mod for customising the Bacon M4 Block II and URG-I. It has no dependencies. Here is how to add it to your server.

Bacon Loadout Editor is a Workshop mod by ceo_of_bacon. To use it on your server, add it to the mod list and restart. It has no dependencies, so there is nothing else to add first. Its Workshop page is short: it says only “Editor to customize Bacon M4 Block II and URG-I”.

What the Workshop page says

  • Name and ID: Bacon Loadout Editor, 606B100247F5C709.
  • Author: ceo_of_bacon.
  • Version: 1.7.3, 2.4 MB, updated 30 July 2026.
  • Built for: the Workshop lists game version 1.7.0.54. The current stable game is 1.8.0.13. Not checked on 1.8 as of 12 October 2026.
  • Tags: Arsenal, Bacon, Editor, Loadout, Misc.
  • Dependencies: none.
  • Licence: custom. It allows non-commercial end use in Arma Reforger. It does not allow the content to be shared or adapted without the author’s written permission.

That is all the page says. It does not say how players open the editor, or whether a loadout is saved between sessions. If you need to know, ask the author, or try it on a test server first.

In the ArthOS panel

  1. Open the Mods tab, then the Workshop tab.
  2. Search for Bacon Loadout Editor. The top result is by ceo_of_bacon, version 1.7.3, 2.4 MB, described as “Editor to customize Bacon M4 Block II and URG-I”. The results also include small patches by other authors, so check the author. Choose Add on that card.
  3. Open On this server and check that it is on the list.
  4. Restart the server. A change to the mod list takes effect at the next restart. See restart your server.

By hand

In config.json, add the mod as an object in game.mods:

Save the file and restart the server. Bohemia’s server documentation says players download the mods on this list and activate them when they join. Keep the file valid JSON: a missing comma will stop the server starting.

Patches by other authors

Other people publish small mods that connect Bacon Loadout Editor to other mods. Their Workshop pages describe them like this:

  • “Overthrow Bacon Compatibility” lets the editor be used in the Overthrow game mode.
  • “TRGB - Bacon Search and Filter” adds a search bar to the editor.
  • “VOLTAs Bacon L.E. GM Only” makes the editor available to Game Masters only.
  • “IRBA” makes modded weapons, clothing and equipment show in the editor by merging loaded arsenal catalogs.

These are not from the editor’s author. Each has its own version and its own game version, so check a patch’s page before you add it. Read its Dependencies list for what else it needs.

If it does not work

  • The server will not start after you add it. Follow find the mod that stops your server.
  • Modded gear is missing from the editor. The editor may not know about that mod’s items. A patch like the ones above may exist. Search the Workshop for the other mod’s name and Bacon.
  • A patch seems to do nothing. Open its Workshop page and read its Dependencies. Mods that are listed must be on your server too. Order matters in the list: see load order and presets.
