On a Game Master scenario, the server host or a declared server admin always gets the Game Master interface. If nobody has it, the first player to connect gets it. To choose who, add their identity ID to the Game Masters list in the Admin Tools tab.
Game Master is Bohemia’s name for the mode where one player places units, steers events and edits the world as the match runs. Bohemia says it is the same idea as Zeus in Arma 3.
The rules, from Bohemia
- The player who is the server host, or the declared server admin, always has access.
- If no Game Master is present, the first player to connect gets the role.
- The role cannot be passed on. It frees up only when that player disconnects.
In the ArthOS panel
The Admin Tools tab uses the Server Admin Tools mod, a Workshop mod by ceo_of_bacon. Its Workshop page describes it only as “Stats and server management tools” and sends you to its Discord thread for the full feature list, so what follows is what the panel shows.
- Find the player’s identity ID. See find a player’s ID.
- Open Admin Tools. If the mod is not in your mod list, choose Add to the mod list and restart the server.
- In the Game Masters card (“Given Game Master when they join”), type the Identity ID and a Name, then choose Add.
- Choose Save changes.

The name is only a label so the list says who each person is. An identity ID is letters, digits and dashes. The panel refuses an ID it cannot read, an ID that is already listed, and an entry with no name.
The next card up, Admins, works the same way (“Made admins when they join”). An admin also reaches Game Master by the first rule above.

}Listed admins can use #login without a password. The Game Masters list belongs to the Server Admin Tools mod and its own settings, which are in the mod’s Discord thread, not on its Workshop page.
If it does not work
- Someone else has Game Master. The first player in took it, or a Game Master is already present. The role cannot be passed on. They must disconnect first.
- A listed person is not given it. The entry says “when they join”, so they have to join after the list is saved. Check the identity ID letter by letter against the log.
- No Game Master interface at all. Check the scenario. Bohemia’s Game Master scenarios are Game Master: Everon, Game Master: Arland and Game Master: Kolguyev in the panel’s list. See Game Master servers.
