Add the Create mod to your Minecraft server

Create is a mod, not a modpack. It runs on Forge or NeoForge, and players need it too. Install it from Add-ons, then Mods, or pick a pack built on Create.

Updated , checked on Minecraft Java 26.3

Create is a single mod, not a modpack. It needs a Forge or NeoForge server. Switch the server to one of them, open Add-ons, choose Mods, search for Create, install the build for your Minecraft version, and give every player the same mod.

Which loader and version

Create’s pages (checked 11 October 2026) say it “runs on Forge and NeoForge”. Modrinth lists these Minecraft versions: 1.21.1, 1.20.1, 1.19.2 and 1.18.2. CurseForge shows the newest files:

MinecraftNewest fileLoader
1.21.1Create 6.0.10, 21 April 2026NeoForge
1.20.1Create 6.0.8, 2 November 2025Forge
1.19.2Create 1.19.2 v0.5.1i, 9 October 2024Forge

Neither page lists Minecraft 26.3. A Create build for another Minecraft version does not load on a 26.3 server. For a server on 26.3, use Versions to pick a loader and a Minecraft version Create lists. Not checked on 26.3 as of 11 October 2026: which loaders list the version you need.

Create does not run on Fabric. Its page points to a separate ported project for the Fabric ecosystem. Plugins do not mix with mods, so a Paper server cannot run it.

In the ArthOS panel

  1. Make sure the server runs Forge or NeoForge for a Minecraft version in the table. If Add-ons shows no Mods button, switch software first: switch to Fabric, Forge or NeoForge.
  2. Open Add-ons and choose Mods.
  3. Pick CurseForge or Modrinth and search for Create. The list shows only mods that can run on a server, built for your server’s version and loader.
  4. Press Install and pick the newest build marked Newest.
  5. Wait for the message that ends “Restart the server to load it”, then press Restart now.

Panel check: search “Create” under Mods on Modrinth and on CurseForge.

Memory: Create’s pages give no memory figure. Watch Memory Load in the header after you install it.

Players need Create too

Every player installs the same Create build, on the same loader and Minecraft version, in their own launcher. The page recommends JEI as well. Without it, the vanilla recipe book cannot show Create’s recipes. JEI is for players; not checked whether the server needs it.

Add-ons for Create

Add-ons are separate mods. Each add-on’s page says which Create version it needs. The panel does not add required mods for you, so install Create and each add-on yourself, then restart. See install a mod.

Want a ready-made pack?

A pack built around Create installs everything in one go. Install a pack from Add-ons, then Modpacks: install a modpack. The pack needs its own loader and Minecraft version. You do not have to set that up: the panel replaces the server software for you, and a backup is taken first.

By hand

  1. Download the Create .jar for your loader and Minecraft version from Modrinth or CurseForge.
  2. Upload it to the mods folder in Files.
  3. Restart the server.

If it does not work

  • The server stops and names a missing mod. Install the mod it names, then restart.
  • The error says wrong version or loader. Get the Create build made for your exact loader and Minecraft version.
  • Players cannot join. They are missing Create, or run another version.
  • No Mods button. The server is not on a mod loader. Check Versions.
