Teleport a player on a Rust server

Move a Rust player to another player from the panel's player window, or use teleport, teleport2me and teleportpos from the F1 console as an admin.

Updated , checked on Rust October 2026 update

To move a player to another player, open the player’s window in the panel and choose Teleport. To move yourself, or to send someone to a coordinate, use the F1 console in game as an admin. Both players must be online, and the server must be running.

In the ArthOS panel

  1. Open your server and choose the Live map tab. Click the player in the Players list or on the map. (On the Players tab, choose Open on their row instead.)
  2. In the player’s window, choose Teleport. The button shows only when at least one other player is online.
  3. The menu lists the other online players twice. Under “Send to”, choose the player this one should be moved to. Under “Bring to ”, choose a player who should be moved to this one.
  4. Choose a name. The game moves the player at once.

If you do not see Teleport, your role does not have the permission to moderate players. Ask the server owner.

The panel can only move a player to another player. It cannot send someone to a coordinate, and it cannot move you, because you are not a player in the game when you use the panel. Use F1 for those.

Copy a position

The player’s window on the Live map shows Position. Click it to copy the player’s x, y, z. You can paste that into teleportpos in F1 to go to the same spot. Not checked as of 11 October 2026: whether the game accepts the copied format as it is. If it refuses, type the three numbers inside the quotes.

By hand

Press F1 in game and type a command. You must be an owner or moderator first. See Make someone owner or moderator on Rust.

CommandWhat it does
teleport <player>Moves you to that player
teleport <player1> <player2>Moves player1 to player2
teleport2me <player>Brings that player to you
teleportpos "x, y, z"Moves you to a coordinate
teleport2markerMoves you to the marker you set on the map
teleportlosMoves you to the nearest thing you are looking at

Facepunch’s wiki advises the Steam ID instead of a name, because it is more accurate. Put quotes round a name that has spaces.

Only the two-player form works from the Console

In the panel’s Console tab and over RCON there is no player to move, so the commands that act on you do nothing. The two-name form still works, because it names both players:

teleport 76561198123456789 76561198000000002

That moves the first player to the second. This is the form the panel uses.

If it does not work

  • There is no Teleport button. Only you are online, or your role lacks the permission. The button needs a second player.
  • Nothing happens when you type teleport2me or teleportpos in the panel’s Console. They act on the player who types them. Run them in F1.
  • “Player not found” or “Couldn’t find player”. The name or Steam ID matches nobody online. Use the Steam ID from the online list.
  • The player did not move. Not checked as of 11 October 2026: whether the game moves a player who is dead or asleep. Wait until they are alive and awake, then try again.
  • F1 refuses the command. You are not admin yet. Rejoin after you are added.

Players who want to go home or ask a friend for a teleport can use a plugin. See Add /home and /tpr to your Rust server.
